Los 6 principios de la Andragogía o el aprendizaje adulto
Tenemos un cerebro cuya función principal se dedica a dos partes, una es el aprendizaje y la segunda parte es la supervivencia.
Los expertos en educación han estudiado cómo los adultos aprenden y enseñan, esta ciencia se llama Andragogía.
Andragogía:
Se considera una ciencia importante que ayuda a organizar el conocimiento de los adultos. Para desarrollar la idea de aprendizaje, necesitamos saber cómo aprenden los adultos. Porque, a diferencia de los niños y su pedagogía, el aprendizaje de adultos tiene mucho espacio para decidir qué, cómo y cuándo aprender.
Estas son algunas diferencias entre pedagogía y andragogía:
- Andragogía: Ayuda a los adultos a aprender
Pedagogía: Proceso de enseñar a niños o menores de edad.
- Andragogía: Se basa en la motivación para aprender algo por aplicación.
Pedagogía: Aprender por el puro amor al aprendizaje.
- Andragogía: El adulto es autónomo de aprender cómo y cuándo lo hace.
Pedagogía: El aprendiz es dependiente.
El profesor Michael Schaefer fue un docente estadounidense que dedicó su vida a la andragogía, a su estudio y aplicación.
Este profesor reveló seis poderosos principios del aprendizaje de adultos.
- Lo que necesitas saber: Los adultos que quieren aprender hacen grandes esfuerzos para entender los beneficios que reciben.
- Concepto personal: Los adultos somos responsables de nuestras acciones, por lo que, mientras las personas que lideren la capacitación lo sepan, ayudarán a enseñar y aprender mejor.
- Experiencia previa: Es fundamental considerar las experiencias previas que las personas han experimentado por sí mismas para poder aprender más sobre un tema en particular.
- Motivación para el aprendizaje: los adultos están motivados para aprender, pero esta preparación se enfoca principalmente en temas o herramientas que pueden abordar situaciones del mundo real.
- Tendencia de aprendizaje: Los adultos se centran en el aprendizaje permanente para ayudarnos a alcanzar nuestro máximo potencial.
- Motivación: Los adultos tendemos a desarrollar y mejorar nuestra condición.
Conclusión:
Ten en cuenta que en el aprendizaje de adultos existe un término llamado parálisis paradigmático, que hace referencia a la incapacidad de poder poner el conocimiento adquirido en práctica.
Esto sucede cuando un adulto estudia algo o domina una profesión, pero en el transcurso de su vida desarrolla una carrera alejada del aprendizaje que ha dominado.
En la actualidad el aprendizaje virtual es un gran compañero para los procesos andragógicos, ya que ahora es posible seleccionar contenido de diferentes fuentes digitales.
